Eternity
And Time
Eternity is the ever present moment that endures without end until the Almighty, All-Knowing, Supreme One declares the end of the eternal moment from its beginning. If an end is not declared by the Almighty, the only One with the sovereign power to do so, then eternity is forever. Eternity is God’s timeline, but His timeline does not happen to Him like ours happens inexorably to us. He decrees His timeline. The order of His decrees occurs at His good pleasure, and this eternal order is independent of the chronological order within which He has placed us. God is not bound in any way to the chronological order, except in the ways He has chosen to be bound. And He can shake off those shackles of time at will. All the glorious ways in which His eternal order intersects with His chronological order we experience is the mystery that is completely beyond our capacity to know and understand, unless He gives us the ability, to whatever measure He desires, and provides the revelation, again, to whatever measure He desires. All glory to Him that He chooses to reveal as much as He does in manifold ways to us in His general and special revelations.
